Mojokerto terletak di sebelah Barat Daya kota Surabaya
berjarak sekitar 49 km. Di kota ini terdapat museum yang menyimpan benda - benda
peninggalan Kerajaan Majapahit, juga makam raja - rajanya Daerah Trowulan yang
terletak 12 km di sebelah Barat kota Mojokerto  terdapat
bekas peninggalan ibukota kerajaan Majapahit (1292 - 1528 AD). Banyak benda
- benda peninggalan sejarah ditemukan di daerah ini yang kemudian diserahkan
ke museum Trowulan, sedangkan di desa Waringin Lawang dapat ditemui bekas tempat
tinggal mahapatih GajahMada. Beberapa situs yang dapat ditemui, diantaranya
situs kerajaan Mojopahit, situs Wotan Mas, situs Penanggungan, situs Kuto Girang.
Juga terdapat obyek - obyek wisata lainnya seperti Candi Tikus, Candi Bajang
Ratu, Candi Brahu, Candi Jolotundo, gua - gua serta panorama pegunungan Pacet/Trawas.
Bantengan dan festival Kraton Majapahit merupakan budaya
rakyat yang dapat dilihat pada pada acara - acara tertentu.
